A New Chapter: From Guerilla Opera to the Mosesian Center for the Arts

After 19 years with Guerilla Opera—

nearly two decades of creating, collaborating, growing, and leading—I'm stepping into a new role and a new chapter. I’m honored to share that I have accepted the position of Executive Director at the Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA, effective July 14th.

This decision was not easy. In many ways, Guerilla Opera has been my life’s work. But through the clarity that came during my recent sabbatical, I realized that I was ready to grow in new ways—and that GO is strong and resilient enough to grow without me at the helm.

Most recently, I held a development and marketing position at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, where I learned what it takes to drive visibility and revenue in a thriving, multi-use performing arts center. That experience, combined with everything I’ve built and learned through GO, was instrumental in the Mosesian committee’s decision to bring me on board.

Being an artist with passion pays off in invaluable ways. Guerilla Opera allowed me to become not only a performer but also a producer, fundraiser, marketer, leader, and mentor to the next generation of artist-producers. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with incredible artists from across the country, found belonging in Boston’s fearless new music community, and connected to organizations and thought leaders throughout Massachusetts, regionally in New England and nationwide through the New England Foundation for the Arts, the Barr Foundation, Opera America, and many more.

While I will no longer serve as GO’s Executive Director, my commitment to the company remains strong. I will continue to serve as a Board Member, advisor, and performing ensemble member, and I’m excited to support GO in this new capacity. The relationship is changing—but it is far from over.

To everyone reading this now, thank you for your belief in me, for the work we've done together, if we’ve worked together, and for your ongoing support. I look forward to what’s ahead at the Mosesian, to cheering on GO in its next chapter, and to staying connected with you in the future through my website, newsletter and social media.
