ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Guerilla Opera opens its 16th Season with the Guerilla Emergence Festival, a virtual festival of ground-breaking works that will be expanded, developed into full productions, and will tour a city near you!

The festival features a concert performance of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage by Elena Ruehr and Royce Vavrek from April 2022, a live performance of I Give You My Home by Beth Wiemann from the Nicholas House Museum from June 2022, a live performance of SALT by Bahar Royaee and Deniz Khateri from the ICE Factory Festival in NYC from August 2022, and ending with a Meet-The-Artist Event featuring an interview with composer Emily Koh and a virtual first look at her new opera HER | Alive.un.dead slated to premiere in May of 2023.
