Guerilla Underground: PAPILLON and SALT

Guerilla Opera presents a double bill of multidisciplinary performances featuring artistic director and artist, Aliana de la Guardia.

Guerilla Opera presents a double-bill in the fourth streaming performance of The Guerilla Underground 2022 Season.

Papillon is a story of flight and freedom, a folkloric tale of a Cuban refugee danced through the metaphor of an ever-changing butterfly, featuring Kaija Saariaho's Sept Papillons. SALT is a portrait of an elder woman who, as she cooks soup for her husband, expounds on her salty life of being trapped in a loveless and abusive marriage, written by Deniz Khateri, music by Bahar Royaee, and video projection design by Nuozhou Wang.
